Originally from Greenville South Carolina, Sam moved to Chicago to attend film school at Columbia College of Chicago. After graduating, Sam began freelancing in commercial, narrative, and documentary filmmaking as a production assistant. Through that, he’s grown his creative network in the city and has worked in production since.

Duties have included

• Bidding jobs on behalf of production companies.

• Preparing and submitting on behalf of production companies for the Illinois film tax credit.

• Managing budgets from 5 to 7 figures.

•Arranging crew travel and accommodations between states.

• Creating and tracking POs, PC transactions, and PC reconciliation.

• Coordinating with vendors (arranging truck rentals, honey wagons, production supplies, catering, etc).

• Sourcing and booking crew across states.

• Working in tandem with the rest of production from pre-production to wrap.
